04 Aug Sarah Scarlata Joins 411 Team as Director of Creative Sync Licensing
After eight years at one of the largest independent production music libraries in the U.S., Sarah Scarlata has joined the 411 Music Group Team as Director of Creative Sync Licensing. “We couldn’t be happier to have her”, 411 Founder and CEO Kristen Agee comments. “Sarah’s innovation, creativity, determination and strategic business insight will add a tremendous strength to 411”.
Scarlata’s musical background spans over many years and multiple facets of the music industry. She started playing gigs as a drummer in Worcester, Massachusetts when she was just 16. Sarah’s deep passion for music led her to major in Drum Set Performance at Berklee College of Music in 1995. Her foray into the music business began with booking gigs and promoting her bands Glider and Rain Fur Rent, which resulted in proposals from five major record labels. After more than a decade setting the beat on stage, she decided to get involved with music licensing. Scarlata joined the 5 Alarm Music team in 2007 and worked her way up to Music Director and Producer. She handled the administration of all content, collaborated with music supervisors and oversaw production of original music for in-house music libraries. Her eight year tenure yielded music placements in Godzilla, Grudge Match, Mad Men, Hawaii Five-0, Better Call Saul, Masters of Sex, The Affair, Ray Donovan, The Blacklist, Anchorman 2 trailer, Dallas Buyers Club trailer, national ad campaigns for Dodge and Adidas, among many others. She is also a composer and has had placements in Tower Heist, 30 Rock, The Affair and Halt and Catch Fire. Her experience from both sides of the studio glass as a performer, composer and producer makes for a unique and enthusiastic approach to delivering the perfect music for any production.
“411 Music Group’s commitment to high quality music production and innovation in music licensing makes for a perfect fit. I am thrilled to be a part of a growing company with a new, creative vision that puts clients and writers first”, Scarlata states. Welcome to the 411 team!
