18 Sep 411 Wins Hollywood Sync Competition
We are proud to announce that 411 Music Group is the winner of this year’s Hollywood Sync Summit Competition! 411 came in 1st and 2nd place in two of the three categories up for grabs- not too shabby. Our first place winning music is in a comedic scene from the MTV show “Faking It”, which follows two best friends who decide to come out as lesbians to gain popularity at school. The music in the scene is from the 411 Contemporary Orchestral: Dramedy album and was written by the great Brian Carr. Music supervisor Amine Ramer, who is known for her work in The Losers, Food Inc, The Signal and The November Man staring Pierce Brosnan, was the judge for this category. As a music supervisor on films, TV shows and documentaries, Amine stays a step ahead by finding undiscovered musical talent from all around the world.
Coming in second place is music in the 411 Epic Trailers Vol. 2 Album. Also written by Brian Carr, the track “Singularis” took 2nd place for music in the trailer “Exodus”. Directed by Ridley Scott and staring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton and Ben Kinsley, “Exodus: Gods and Kings” is an account of Moses’ hand in leading the Israelite slaves out of Egypt. The judge for this trailer was Wild Card AV’s Marcy Bulkeley, who is responsible for the music in ad campaigns for films such as Noah, Looper, Inception, Hangover 2 and many others. Marcy has been honored with awards for best original music in trailers for her work on Inception and was nominated by the Guild of Music Supervisors for Best Music Supervision in Trailers for Looper.
Thanks to the judges and congratulations to all winners!
