New York City-based indie pop songstress, Kat Quinn, announces the release of her new EP, Rust to Gold.
Rust to Gold was produced by Adam Rhodes (Bon Iver), who also worked with Quinn on her 2013 album, Kind of Brave. The EP’s lead single, “Going Home,” was praised by DiffuserFM, who say, “Quinn’s gorgeous vocals and the delicate accompanying visuals make for a hopeful, long-lasting impact; her sentiments toward the song are deeply personal, and quite relatable.” The EP’s other single, “That String,” premiered with Fanlala, who call it “uplifting, catchy and a perfect song to listen to while relaxing on the beach.” Rust to Gold is due out October 6th.
In the past, Quinn has received buzz from notable media outlets, such as PopMatters, American Songwriter and Indie Minded. In March of 2013, Quinn was featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s “Battle of the Instant Songwriters,” where she wrote and performed the original piece, “Clouds Are People Too,” and subsequently gained fans nationwide. Quinn has also performed at the Senate for the political organization, No Labels, which strives to solve issues from a practical standpoint rather than a party-biased one. Stay tuned for more from Kat Quinn!
