Mage is a Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and composer.

He apprenticed with a range of masters, from Alan Ginsberg, James Hurt and Jack Hardy in New York, Fred Frith in Oakland and Srinivasan in Varanasi.

Mage toured worldwide as a multi instrumentalist with soul jazz artist Lizz Wright, reggae billboard #1 artists the Easy Star All Stars, and Nigerian afro-house queen Wunmi, and he played piano and organ on a Grammy winning album.
