Crystal Grooms Mangano is a multi-talented composer and music supervisor working across all media. Recently, Crystal has scored the independent feature documentary Duty Free, one of the highest performing films at the 2020 DOC NYC Festival.

Crystal’s scores can also be heard in the theatrically released thriller No Escape; Across the Ocean, a film told in parallel storylines directed by 2 female directors from LA and India; and Asperger’s Are Us, for which her score was nominated for a Hollywood Music & Media Award for best documentary score.

Crystal has composed additional music for many projects, including Discovery’s Penguins: Waddle All the Way and Time Warp, National Geographic’s JFK: The Final Hours, and Animal Planet’s Escape to Chimp Eden. Crystal attributes her sound and musical approach to the creative freedom she received studying film and music at Montana State University. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
